For more than a century, Paige Glass Company has helped shape the built environment of San Francisco and beyond. As a four-generation, family-owned glass company, Paige combines historic craftsmanship with modern fabrication, installation, and contracting capabilities for residential, commercial, and specialty architectural projects.
Founded in the aftermath of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, the company grew from one glazier’s response to a citywide rebuilding effort into a trusted name in custom glasswork. Today, Paige Glass continues that legacy with the same commitment to quality, detail, and reliable service that has defined the company for generations.

A Legacy Born from San Francisco’s Rebuilding.
Paige Glass traces its beginnings to founder Paul Paige, a young glazier who began replacing shattered windows throughout San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake. The urgent demand for skilled glasswork during the city’s reconstruction led to years of continuous work, and Paige Glass Company was formally organized in 1910.
That origin story remains central to the company’s identity: practical problem-solving, skilled craftsmanship, and a deep connection to San Francisco’s architectural history

From its earliest decades, Paige Glass earned a reputation for handling complex and high-profile glass assignments. The company contributed glasswork to the Tower of Jewels at the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition and later worked on historically significant projects associated with renowned architects and landmark properties.
Through Paul Paige’s relationship with architect Julia Morgan, Paige Glass contributed intricate historical glasswork at Hearst Castle in San Simeon. The company was also connected to work involving Frank Lloyd Wright’s V.C. Morris Gift Shop on Maiden Lane in San Francisco, further reflecting its long-standing role in notable architectural glass projects
